COME ON BARBIE, LET'S GO PARTY!
Do I really have a 3 year old already?! She is already
starting to give me gray hair! No but really, she keeps me young
and keeps me guessing what every day will be like. Some days she just
randomly comes up and gives me millions of kisses and others she
constantly tells me, "it's not fair!" I guess that's why they call it a
threenager, 3 going on 13 and too smart for her own good... But my
goodness how much I adore her! There is
something SO special between a mother & her daughter :)
With that being said, my sweet baby girl requested a Barbie party this year! When I was planning her birthday party last year (Laney's Lemonade blog post) I specifically chose those colors so I could recycle a lot of the stuff for this year's party, which I WAS planning on doing a flamingo pool party, but my parent's house is on the market and there's so much going on, I couldn't really plan a pool party not knowing if I'd have a pool. lol. So I asked D what kind of party she wanted, and Barbie it was!
This year, I just wanted to keep it sweet & simple! Just doing a smaller candy bar with less candy saved a TON of money. Plus, I didn't have a lot leftover to just sit there. I remember for my baby shower, we went a little overboard and had so much candy that people didn't even touch. I've learned by now, less is more :) So for those of you who want to do a cute table set up, you don't have to go over your budget!! Here it is, per request, a Barbie birthday for my beautiful baby girl!
