Holiday gift ideas!

Normally I start Christmas shopping way ahead of time, but am not on the ball AT ALL this year. Although I do have some ideas of what I'm getting everyone, I just have to get my butt in gear! I'm a huge fan of customized gifts, I just feel like they are from the heart so Etsy is normally my go-to. They have everything from humor to sentimental which is the perfect variety for the entire family. These are just a few ideas and if you like them I've included the links as well :)

'Gift Ideas'
I bought these hammers last year for my dad & hubby that said:
'Dad, thanks for NAILING mom.'
& 'Daddy we love BUILDING memories with you.'
I also love this 'we flippin' love you' spatula &
'pour some sugar on me' tea // coffee spoon
This funny & accurate bottle opener
is perfect for beer lovers!

'Wine glasses'
I feel like drink ware is one of the easiest gifts to give.
Just choose a cute wine glass + a bottle of wine.
You can find something sentimental:
Or these funny wine glasses are here

'Blankets'
One year I threw together a few blankets with the no-sew method! Joanne's & Hobby Lobby both have cute, affordable fabric. If you don't have time for DIY here's another option:
These throws from Pottery Barn are super soft and cozy.
You can personalize them with an initial or a monogram.

I absolutely adore these fleece blankets from the Disney Store. They come out with new designs every year and are perfect for kids.
P.S. They go ON SALE before Christmas!

'Keychains'
Last year I went keychain crazy.
'You get a keychain, you get a keychain, everybody gets a keychain!!!'
(I hope you just channeled your inner Oprah)

'Aprons'
Okay so I found these Disney Aprons on Etsy and about died at how cute they were!! They have every character and come in adult sizes too!
That brought me back to this apron I made a few years ago for my MIL. It was sweet & affordable and goes to show you that the best gifts come from the heart and don't have to cost a lot!
Love to bake? 'Watch me whip' apron /
click here if you like to 'eat meat.'

'Coffee Cups'
Coffee cups can be both silly or sweet, depending on the recipient. You could also do a coffee cup + Starbucks gift card or maybe a box of K-Cups!
Or my personal fav 'black like my soul' mug

'Home Décor Ideas'
I have one of these personalized last name signs in my home that I absolutely love and have given a few times as a gift. You can customize with last name / kids name or last name / wedding date or family / grandkids names - they have so many options!

A few other home décor choices :)

My favorite store - small wood home - go check them out for some cute options :)

'Tea Towels'
I was browsing on Etsy for a tea towel to order for myself and found these so I had to share!

'Gift Baskets'
Gift baskets are great too! Just pick a theme or a
'favorite thing' and turn it into a basket.
My inspiration here was the $1 section at Target.
I found these tea towel and wine glasses for $3 each and just added some orange juice & champagne!
I found these themed basket ideas on Pinterest.

Since I know my sweet, wonderful mom reads my blog, I'm just going to leave my 'wish list' right here ;p

I just want to say 'Thank You' to everyone that reads my blog, I really appreciate each of you!
If I find anymore ideas, I'll update :)

Happy Halloween!

Little Red Riding Hood & The Big Bad Wolf

Ever since having kids my love for the holidays has grown, and Halloween is hands down my favorite! I love the crafts, the decor, and all the fun stuff there is to do during the month of October. When I was younger, my mom always made the holidays feel so special for my siblings & myself. Sometimes even now she'll sneak in something for us even though we're all adults, but totally not complaining! ;) Because of her I always try to make holidays fun and special for my own babies. Plus I won't be around forever so I want these to be memories they look back on when they are older and cherish! Here's a little blog to share with our family & friends! xoxo

Our little 'goblins'
(Delaney, 4 & Jackson, 1 1/2)

Normally, the 1st of October is when I really kick off the holiday season. I do a little surprise breakfast or lunch that comes along with a little something for the kids. Then for the rest of the month I like to do something about once a week. Holidays are one of my most favorite parts of being a mom and I love seeing the excitement on their faces. This is really what I live for :)

Visited our baby cousin Zoey :)
Some fun this month!
